Tender Priority for Suites?

We are staying in a sky suite and wonder - do we have priority for tendering? It doesn't list this under suite indulgences, but is this something the butler can arrange for us?

We are looking at doing a couple of excursions on our own in the Mexican Riviera (Cabo and Puerto Vallarta). They begin at 10:00, and out ship is scheduled to get in at 9:00 with tender service to the ports. How safe are we?

I wish Celebrity would comp a few cruises to their employees so they could answer correctly when we call!

Suites passengers were to go to a different lounge to get their tender tickets or the butler left the tickets in the room with instructions to go to that lounge rather than to a larger lounge where there were more people waiting to tender. It's not much of a priority, just easier to get your TICKETS is all. You still have to stand in the line to get on the tender. You may have saved a bunch of steps walking back and forth to a lounge, is all.

I have read here that in some cases the suites lounge was given a tender before the rest of the ticketed passengers from the larger lounges had a chance to get on the boat, so it must vary depending on the port and the ship.

We have had five RS suites in the last two years on Celebrity, with the last being on Mercury in January. When the vessel is tendered, our butler has always given us two green priority tender boarding tickets. When we decided to use the tickets, we have gone to the tender loading area [Deck 3], and wait for an excursion group [all with the same number tag] and then just fall in behind them and board the tender.

We do not usually use the priority tickets, because when we go on the beach ourselves, we usually leave around 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.

These tickets are also a perk for Elite members. In our opinion, it is not really a big deal, other than a convenience in not having to sit around somewhere in a public area.

Thank you, everyone. So do you think if we dock at 9am in Puerto Vallarta, and we have a private tour at 10, that will be enough time?

No worry. Puerto Vallarta is not a tender port. You will walk right off the ship on the dock.

If there are more ships that day in Puerto vallarta, then you have to tender. The carnival ships usually are at the port, the others have to tender. You can check this on:http://www.cruisecal.com/dnn/

If you have to tender 10am is most likely too early for your tour.

When we were on a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Mercury, we stayed in a Suite and receieved priority tendering. We were directed to a separate lounge area, where an X employee promptly radioed and said she was bringing down a party of 2. We followed her down to where others were waiting in line for the tenders. We were escorted to the front of the line and onto a tender. Pretty slick!

Has this procedure changed? From what I understood, this is a part of the "suite package."

One couple on our cruise who were in a Family Suite said that they did not get priority tender passes. They also did not get the paper saying that they could choose their pillows like Concierge Class can, but their butler brought them Concierge pillows.
