Splendor Suite

Recommended Posts

Looking for some help/advice on a Suite number on  Splendor for Oct.2022 in the Med.

We are taking advantage of the Suite upgrade offer and our travel agent has put a hold on

Suite 870. I checked out the location on Cruisemapper and it is way toward the

back of the ship. We are bit hesitant about the location any thoughts. We are being

bumped up from a F2 to Concierge E. Not sure if that is the best available but thought

I would put it out for an opinion.

Thanks so much!

The thread title made me think you were going for a SPLENDOR SUITE. Going from F2 to a Concierge will additionally give you a coffeemaker in the suite and a "free" hotel night.  The room size is the same though your balcony may be a tad larger.

I sailed on the first 2 voyages early 2020 pre-covid and did not notice any aft vibration commonly felt a bit on Voyager and quite a bit on Navigator.

Depending on the cost to upgrade...may or may not be worth it.

If you want the additional amenities offered by a Concierge suite (including early excursion & dining booking) then taking advantage of the present upgrade offer, F2 to E or F1 to D, is very worthwhile; otherwise just take an upgrade from G2 to F2 or G1 to F1. (D, E & F suite size & layout are the same; just a deeper balcony on some Ds & Es)

For information on suite details & deck plans you can refer to the Regent website and SuiteGuru will give you reviews from previous guests (as there is so little data on Splendor, use the spreadsheet for Explorer - the ship layouts are identical)

IMO, 870 is in a good location. Nothing above or below that has the potential for noise and very little "through traffic" from other guests.

Not that far from the aft lifts/stairs, giving quick & easy access up to Chartreuse, Prime 7, La Veranda & the Pool Deck, and down to Pacific Rim, the Spa & Infinity Pool.

Splendor, as with all Regent ships, is not huge so accessing facilities further forward will not be a big issue unless you have severe mobility issues.

Enjoy your cruise planning 😎

Thank you Flossie, you were a big help. WE are excited for this cruise and have plenty of time to plan and

anticipate.

snorkle lover we may be on the same cruise, Oct 11th-Nov 2nd.  We have had 3 cruises cancelled due to Covid.  So glad we booked this cruise.  We took the 2 category upgrade from a Concierge E to the Penthouse B.  The only suite left was on level 6.  We are more than fine with that.

Hi Boats07,

Yes, we leave from Barcelona on October 11 and return to Barcelona on October 23,

you must be continuing on to Venice... very nice. We have had two two cruises canceled

because of COVID and we canceled a third because we did not want to be  the first

ship out. Maybe we will meet on board or on an excursion.
