Some Bermuda Guidance from Viking!

We are booked on the 7/6 Bermuda cruise and overnight we received an email from Viking that spelled out the very specific requirements for the Bermuda cruise … including a timeline and document checklist.  We’re on track and hope this helps others who may not be spending as much time here on CC as we are!

I guess if ~90 people of 450 (~20%) missed the ship for the first Orion sailing it was in Viking's best interest to get involved in the pre-departure process.

Yes, but sadly, there could have been a number of those 90 people who didn't make it due to no fault of their despite their valiant efforts in following all the steps carefully:

1.  The COVID PCR tests took longer than thought possible

2.  The Bermuda Government screwed up and didn't process valid authorizations - through errors and ommissions on their part (as stated by several passengers on cc so far)

 

Sadly - having this checklist would not have helped them at all and will not help others until they (Bermuda) improve the process or Viking (improves/relaxes the non-refundable aspect of these trips due to ineptitude of others)
