SCBarker Posted June 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2021 I check this deal every morning and today it looked like they added more cruises. I picked up a port hole room on a 8-night out of Galveston on the Dream, eastern caribbean. FJ1 is the $200 ($100pp) non-refundable for the room, and $200 back in OBC.
firefly333 Posted June 30, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2021 I wish they would add deals for everyone. If I could get into the casino and qualify I sure would.

The deal is only supposed to be good for cruises 5 days or less. So when I saw they included an 8-day, I jumped. It's not until next July though.

BrotherCraig Posted June 30, 2021 #8 Share Posted June 30, 2021 I gamble a couple of thousand a cruise so I never qualify for these deals. I wish. Meanwhile, I will continue to pay $6000 per cruise. LMAO

lubedobedo Posted July 2, 2021 #10 Share Posted July 2, 2021 We booked the jackpot deal in March for 8 night out of Galveston on Dream for next May. $100pp non refundable with $200 back as obc for lido balcony, $250 free play and free drinks for him anywhere on ship. So total with port fees & taxes was $451.84. Good deals out there!
kitten816 Posted July 2, 2021 #11 Share Posted July 2, 2021 We just booked 2 $100 pp, 7 day out of Nola in January and then a 5 day out of Nola. Interior only though, but still a steal!
K_e_short Posted July 2, 2021 #12 Share Posted July 2, 2021 I"ve used two jackpot deals and think the drinks everywhere on the ship is the best part of it. For a caribbean cruise I don't care where and what type my room is as I'll be on the pool deck all day anyways.

lubedobedo Posted July 2, 2021 #15 Share Posted July 2, 2021 We have only been on 1 Carnival cruise in 2016. Spent maybe $1200 over the week. Won $600 on Wheel of Fortune. Husband was given a Wheel of Fortune t-shirt and offer to play for a free cruise picking envelopes. He won $50. Also got envelope for free inside room under door on last night. Never took up that offer, no vacation time left then. Had a cruise on Vista for May that was canceled. Trying for next May now.

I have never really gamble a whole lot of money, because if I'm losing I quit playing and try the next day, I think it's more about the points you accrue. I only play the slots and I could start with a $100 dollars and I can play a few hours on just that, wining some, giving back some, saving some for later in the eve or the next day. In all my cruises I have always come home with a $500 to $800 win, my husband calls it my part time job when we are on the ship.

Rare EngIceDave Posted July 6, 2021 #19 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Rating roulette can be tough, have to ask the pit boss guy what he's rating you at per hand and are they counting odds (probably not) Same for BJ, make sure they're rating you right

Rare EngIceDave Posted July 6, 2021 #21 Share Posted July 6, 2021 (edited) No worries, this is why slot players get good deals, because they can count every penny bet or won. Table games is sort of expert guesswork, but you have to ask. Many times, if you don't ask, they'll think you're just some occasional player rube and rate you low, because you don't know any better. After sitting at a table for a bit, ask dealer how they rate your play, who does it. He/she should call a pit critter and you can ask him minimums to be rated (not same as minimum bet) and if odds are factored in. Even after a day or two, ask how your play rates so far. How many points you've earned. I am a degenerate, I know Edited July 6, 2021 by EngIceDave typo 2

Wife does about the same out of boredom in the casino while watching me at the tables. lol Not a big slot fan or gambling on the machines although I do kick ass at the cash grab claw. I usually walk out with $300-$500 every cruise on that machine. lol
Rare EngIceDave Posted July 6, 2021 #23 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Here is what EVERY casino is looking for - Time x $ per hand How much are you wagering per hand, on average, for how many hours...that is what matters. Time is on the casino's side. So if you're only playing an hour or two per day, your rating will be low Typically, they like 4 hours at some minimum wager, per day So ask what minimum wager per hand (spin), do odds count, and for how many hours per day do they look for? Datasue99 Posted July 7, 2021 #25 Share Posted July 7, 2021 We booked both cruises next year with this deal and a similar one. Magic in March - Mardi Gras in September. First time we have two cruises in one year! We both get the offers, but Wife’s are better (video poker vs Let It Ride).
