Lunch on Apex

We usually sail in Concierge Class and avail ourselves of the lunch in the dining room on embark day. This time we went down to the Sunset Veranda because we don’t care for the new infinite verandas. Are there any other places we can have lunch other than the Oceanview Cafe’ on day one of our cruise.

Lots of places available.   One of my favorites is the Eden Cafe - just outside Eden.    Many won't discover it until mid cruise.     Soups and Sandwiches and the best brownies you will ever find.    Also The Aqua Spa Cafe -  lighter fare and of course the Hamburger / Hot Dog grill outside the Aqua Spa.    These are all free.    Also the Buffet is available -   Not as much to bad with many food stations spread out.

There are also many al la cart options for a fee throughout the ship.

The Spa Cafe is great for lighter fare.  In the area, there is also the Mast Grill which serves burgers, hot dogs, fries with toppings which often include cheese, grilled mushrooms, grilled onion, bacon, sauerkraut, etc.  Then as mentioned, there is the Eden Cafe. Check out the menus.

We also tend to avoid the buffet on the first day as it is often chaotic and seats may be difficult to find.

Are all those venues available on embarkation day for lunch especially on the first cruises after the COVID shutdown?   In pre Covid days many of the venue were closed for lunch.

On previous S-class cruises, both the Spa Cafe and Mast Grill were open on the embarkation day as we went to both.  Not sure now
