Orange status means the ship has reported cases of COVID-19 but is below the threshold for CDC investigation.... Could well be a current case, but the CDC page also says this under Criteria for Ship Color Status, "Ship color status is determined using surveillance data from the previous 7 days—regardless of voyage dates— and CDC investigation findings." A good number of cruise lines are alerting their passengers when there is a case onboard, at least in these early days, but not all (I've read reports where passengers learned about cases during their sailing from the news and they were never notified). Since this is HAL's first official voyage, time will tell which approach for information they will take. Best Wishes for All Involved! Destiny0315 Posted July 29, 2021 #177 Share Posted July 29, 2021 The major cruise line responses to the few cases that are showing up is to remove the passenger(s) at ports. Currently X's Edge is being delayed in Cozumel while a Covid pax is being removed by ambulance according to posts on their forum, which includes announcements from Captain Kate.
