Robjame Posted July 15, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Is backing out the OLife charge while retaining the air as simple as subtracting the shipboard credit? Seems like it should be. Thanks
Paulchili Posted July 15, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2021 (edited) O Life & air are entirely separate items independent of each other. You can take the air w/o O Life or v.v.; take both or neither one. Edited July 15, 2021 by Paulchili
Robjame Posted July 15, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Got that Paul - (for calculation purposes) is the cost for OLife equal to the Shipboard credit?

Yes, as long as you remember that the SBC is per cabin, so half per person. And the difference between that number and cruise only is the air credit, should you decide to do your own air. Not as obvious when you look at other that the SBC O Life perk. The excursions option start off as one per $100 SBC (e.g., $800 SBC = 8 excursions). However, the allowable tours are pretty much anything under $200 - thus doubling the potential value. Also, the O Life “freebies” count toward the minimum required (on your cruise) for the 25% YWYW discount on paid tours you may add. So the right approach to tours can save a “chunk of change.” I’ve previously posted complete instructions on CC regarding how to squeeze the value out of O Life tours option so please search for that if interested. The booze option can have more than the SBC value if approached the right way. But, bottom line is: O Life SBC option w/o air per cabin is the same as “cruise only” per cabin plus that O Life SBC cabin amount.
