Hotels in Miami

It seems the bayside hotels have jacked up their rates over the past few months.  I was considering Intercontinental (bay view) for September at appx $250.  It is now $320 + $25 fee.  Marriott is $269 if you prepay.

I’m seriously considering giving up the bay view & selecting closer to downtown at this point.  Would prefer CVS/Walgreens walkable and Uber cheap to PoM.

I agree that the hotel prices seem very high in the coming months. For my upcoming December cruise I booked an express deal on Priceline near MIA. I ended up with the EB Hotel and saved over $100 vs. a direct booking. I had never heard of EB Hotel but it looks great and has an airport shuttle. I will uber to POM.

Yes I would rather be able to see my ship when I wake up but this airport hotel will work great for me and I will be able to settle in as soon as my flight lands.

If you want the beach then you need to focus on Miami Beach, a separate cry from Miami.

Are you flying into MIA or FLL? If FLL, then you can look at more beach options between FLL and the port of Miami. www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel and tourist info. The ride from FLL to POM takes about 40+ minutes.
