@HBCcruiser

I think you did VeriFLY. How did you get printed results of your COVID test on the boat?

We all passed today. Yeah!!  Appointment at 830a, tested at 833a, results email by 855a.  Super fast turn around. I talked to the nurse that swabbed me. Flew into Nassau and has contract on Adventure for 4 weeks. Gets to enjoy the cruise when she’s not working. Nice gig.

Royal will deliver a printed copy of your tests to your stateroom tonight. Ours was on our table after turn down service. Yes, DO VERIFLY!! It will save you having to wait in a looooooong line. The VeriFly checkin area is right in the middle of the cluster mess (2 lanes only). You should ask where the lanes are when you get to the airport.

Today must be Wednesday

Sea day #2. So more empty chairs available in the sun and shade. I could comment that it’s almost annoying how attentive the staff is. Key word in that sentence is “almost”. Anywhere you want or need staff, they are there and happy to help.

I was in a chair and looked up and the windows to the Blue Moon nightclub.

Hey that’s me.

At the pool I had more frozen drinks. Sometimes they wander around with a bunch premade. I’m not sure what it was, but I poured it into my coke cup to keep it cold.

Of course if you drink it fast enough, you don’t need an insulated cup.

Sea day #2 means formal night #2 and lobsters! Unfortunately I have no food porn. I dug into the lobsters (yes I had 3) too quickly. But I did get a shot of the carcasses.

Robert hooked us again in the Champagne bar. He made a Hugo and expresso martini.

And @MorganClarkis right. This guy is good. I think his only night off is Sunday night.

I'm not sure why but the Champagne Bar is not a place that I typically go. Maybe the name makes the place seem sort of specialized?

Yeah, my thought as well. But, I like champagne and should've at least "popped a cork" on a bottle of champagne for sail-away, right?

That is something I'd like to try.

We have been drinking these since we cruised Equinox on Celebrity, they had a great bar right in the cafeteria, we'd pick one up whenever we ate there and played cards during the day, we love those, BUT, that Daiquiri looks just like my bag!

Apparently I am not intelligent enough to figure out that VeriFly app, when I go to add the trip it does not have my airline on the list to choose from, can't see how to get it on there.  I need Delta...not on the list.

Did you go to the dance club on 14? The silent disco is fun!

We haven’t made it to the Blue Moon. We spend time in the casino, mostly losing money at 3 Card Poker.

LOL. This is my favorite answer and I owe you a free drink package drink!  Our guesses were elephant and dog. I see 4 legs and don”t see a trunk. That being said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you see what you see in art. It’s personal or something. What do I know I’m an engineer. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think it’s an intelligence test. I think only American, Alaskan and maybe another one or two use VeriFLY.

Good afternoon, July 31st sailors...those of us scheduled on subsequent Adventure dates from Nassau are seeing more stringent COVID restrictions (mask requirements etc.) Everything going OK (COVID-wise), I hope?

I think the current restrictions are cautionary and not due to a lot of cases. IMO Royal has great protocols - better than other lines. I like that they will have vaccinated only zones where paxs can remove masks.

I'm on the sailing now.  Have not heard of any cases.

I'll ask our waitress tonight if she knows of any cases. She seems to know what's going on. Our testing was yesterday and results were available quickly. I've been onboard all day and captain has not made an announcement either way.

Anyways, its been a great cruise.  Thankful to be on.

I haven’t heard anything about cases this week either. Please let us know if you learn anything.

Today is Thursday. I don’t want to dwell on the negatives but tomorrow is the last day before they throw us off the boat.

We are in port at Freeport. Freeport is an industrial port that is not scenic.

I have been here before and didn’t leave anything behind that I want to retrieve, so we are staying on board today.

The crew ran a life boat drill this morning that passengers didn’t have to participate in. They did blow the alarm horn (7 short and 1 long) multiple times and that thing is loud. They even launched a couple life boats for practice.

Staying on board means late lunch at Johnny Rockets (please note finally some food porn below). Good news, they still dance and the drink package gets you free milkshakes. We also learned you can go and pay no cover charge and get a milkshake to go. All of you future cruisers, take note.

In my walking today, I found on deck 13 forward where they have stashed all the missing deck chairs.

The other reason for not getting off is that the ship leaves at 3:30p. Tough to get value out of a day pass at a resort. Goodbye Freeport, I hardly knew ya.

According to our waitress, they were notified in their morning meeting we had zero covid cases onboard this week. They were also notified of the mask change for next week.
