Do children under the age of 17 have to have vaccine on Princess? I asked Princess when on the phone with them during registration and was told to check the website.  I've seen conflicting info in different places on their website.   Saw both yes for ALL passengers and then no for under 17 on another page.  Thank you!

It's very cruise specific, and fluid.  For starters it depends on the originating port for your cruise.  Contact Princess, and get it in writing, and be ready for changes before you cruise.  Opinions from CC members won't help you.  Our e mail cruise confirmation had very specific information,   E mail  updates followed as well.  Your cruise may differ, please get your information directly from Princess specific to your cruise,  and have a great time!

Currently vaccinations are required for all passengers.

For cruises originating from the UK see

The date and port of departure determine the current requirements.

this is for cruises departing from the US with the "fully vaccinated" banner on the website when you view the cruise.  This is *most* 2021 cruises.   Currently it appears that US departures in 2022 don't have these rules.  But things are changing constantly so no guarantees what you read today will be the same next week.

Departures from the UK have different rules on a different page on the website.

Yes. Which means right now that anyone 12 and older must show proof of vaccination and also have a PCR test. Anyone under 12 can not board. Most current information from the Princess web site.

"Yes. These cruises are available for guests who have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise and have proof of vaccination, in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and the dates given will be required and will need to be shown at the terminal prior to boarding. Failure to provide this evidence will result in denial of boarding.

There is no age restriction on this series of cruises but guests of all ages must be fully vaccinated.

If you are unlikely to be fully vaccinated at the time of departure, please refer to our Book with Confidence Policy.

Guests should always ensure they understand all requirements to travel from their home country and the destinations they plan to visit. Details continue to be updated regularly and official websites and apps developed by government agencies and tourism ministries are the recommended resources.

For guests on voyages sailing from Southampton between September 30 and November 3, 2021 on Regal Princess and between October 5 and November 5, 2021 on Sky Princess, all guests 18 years old and over will be required to have completed their vaccination course a minimum of 14 days prior to sailing. All guests 17 years old and below will need to have completed their vaccination course a minimum 14 days prior to sailing or will require a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to travel."

Thank you everyone.  I should have noted the cruise we're booking is leaving from Copenhagen, Denmark so also will include airline rules for vaccines.  Sounds like a lot of indeed, "fluid" situations.

As people have indicated it varies according to the point of departure.  UK does not require a double vaccination for 17 years and under.  Denmark is going to have their own regulations.  I should say there may also be additional government regulations for people arriving in a nation as wellas cruise line rules relating to boarding.  They may vary cruise to cruise as well.

In Seattle (Alaska sailings) all passengers age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated.  This policy is for all cruise lines.   Tthe second shot must be no less than 14 days prior to sailing - this is also strictly enforced.

All passengers age 2 and older must have a negative Covid-19 test result within 3 days/72 hours of sailing.

According to Princess website if someone isn’t going to be able to be vaccinated they will offer us FCC’s to use later.  Does anyone know if they will give us a refund because those under 12 won’t be able to meet the eligibility this year (it doesn’t seem as a vaccination won’t be available until late fall at best)?  We have moved our FCC’s on Princess three different sailings and are tired of trying to keep it all straight and ensure we get all what is owed and at this point want a refund until we can get our child vaccinated and then take that money to use on a cruise line that will allow our child to sail with them.

I believe unused FCC’s can be refunded MINUS any ‘bonus’ FCC you might have received. So it will be like you requested a refund that did not give you any ‘bonus’.

Please verify as policies are always subject to change, but is appears you have tried to apply to sailings that but have not ‘used’ and sailed. Are you trying to ‘cash out’ your total FCC balance or still have some allocated to active bookings?

PCR is not the only acceptable test.  There are several qualifying rapid-result tests.  Princess details all of the acceptable tests on their website.
