How to post a reply/comment to a post.

Haven't been on CC for a while, so how do I post a reply or comment to another's post?

If you are logged in, in the lower left corner of every post you should see a light blue + button and a light gray Quote link.

 

To reply to a particular post tap / click on the Quote link. This will take you to an edit box with the post quoted at the top. Type in your reply below the outlined quote.

 

To reply to several different posts use the + button.

 

If you just want to add a post to a thread, navigate to the last post on a page and tap / click in the Reply to this topic box.

Hopefully the pinned thread on the 1st page of this forum How to: Reply to a Topic / Quote / Multi-Quote will be helpful! Browse the thread titles on this forum and l👀k for titles of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you.

 

I suggest you use the Follow feature on threads. You will not have to go l👀king to see if there are new posts because they will come l👀king for you as notifications!  If you need more info on how to do it, please see How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info).

 

And don't forget, after your cruise be sure to submit your review for publication. Many cruisers will benefit from your experience! See How To: Submit a Member Review.

Easy.

 

Start with typing the @ sign then start typing the username of the person.  As you start typing different names will come up, click on the name you want.

You should have gotten a notice that I mentioned you in a post.

At the top right of the page is a bell symbol.  That should have a number noting how many notifications you have from being mentioned, quoted, etc.

 Notice will only show up if you have notifications turned on.  I chose not to turn them on.  EM

If you are on a mobile device, a notification count will appear in a green circle on the menu button (3 horizontal bars, top right). The button has to be tapped to bring up the bell which can be tapped to see a list of notifications.
