About the elevators….

On day one, forget it, they’re still trash.

After day one, they are better. Pick your floor, go the one it tells you. 14 is an awesome deck to stay on because there are only two elevators for it, but in a way they seems more dedicated to the upper floors.

Had a Guy burger, damn good. Fries sucked. Soggy and old.

Thanks for the updates. I am boarding when you are getting off on the 12th. between you and Jamman i should be right up to date. Have a nice sailing and please leave a few Miller Lites on board.

And we get on when you get off on the 18th 😉   Love hearing people's updates, especially this close to cruising.   Wonder if they've gotten Michelob Ultras onboard yet??

Note to self (and you readers): Google Chrome on an iPad HATES this website….OMFG!

wifi has been wildly mixed, but mostly poor for anything more than social web surfing.

Did figure out one weird trick, there is a streaming app with a name like a plant and it is so lo-fi it can actually stream stuff. Can’t walk and chew gum to well, but light web surfing and streaming works as long as no photos.

Speaking of which, photos will come in a bit, I’m comfy here and the signal is weak here.

Found a place on deck 14…where my cabin is. Go forward all the way and turn corner there’s a door. It leads into back of spa. There’s a glass door and a steel door behind it that leads to a small balcony that LITERALLY is over the navigation deck.

couple wicker couches and matching table and no one but me.

like my own semi private 25x20 foot balcony (stay away….lol)

Great find and thanks for sharing it

I have been struggling with some glitch in the website software and iOS….it stacks up all the previous entries and does weird stuff making it IMPOSSIBLE to post anything in the existing thread. Not sure how I got here.

I will try to do as much as I can in one shot and not screw this up, not sure why it’s working now, but it is…

Elevators on day one are terrible, too busy. Still avoid. After that, really nice.

Masking is no issue and I have seen no issue with it. If you want to be a jerk either way and point everything out….sure, you’ll find something. But for the most part, everyone is compliant. Most non-compliance seems accidental IMO. “Oops, sorry.”

Serenity area is nice and the little salad bar is a nice touch too. One other awesome feature of deck 14 is a bar almost right out your door….or literally over your head….and it’s not busy, ever.

BEST THING IN THE CABIN?
The music channel on the TV. Dead serious. Wide variety. Nothing offensive (like I GAS) and seems on an auto shuffle so it doesn’t totally feel like a single loop. You’ll see repeats, but some new and old classics.

Saw Free Guy in IMAX. Good and funny movie. The theatre is great. Good sound.

Saw Macio in Comedy club, funny guy. Since it was the early “kids show,” he kind of picked on and talked to the kids there. Was good.

Found the tea time thing by accident

here’s some random stuff. If I can sort of my issue, I’ll do more.

oh, dinner tonight was at seafood shack for us. Darn good and hot too!

I’ve been doing ok in casino, no hand pays for me yet, but have seen a few.

since an Ultra cruise, it gets busy at night. I have a few thousand points at this point, anyone know the coin in per point?

Land casinos are $5 per point coin in? I asked one guy there and he said $3 per coin in? Anyone know?

I did have one of the young lady hosts walk up and offer me and wifey-poo dinner at Steak or Teppanyaki (Choose the latter) even though I know their are players with higher points and such. Can only guess because I wasn’t invited to be part of Ultra thing and wasn’t able to participate, even though I am doing a good job of losing with dignity…so they tossed me a bone.

literally

Vibe is mellow. Seems an experienced crowd. They know what’s up. Not their first rodeo.

If it’s not too much trouble, could you see if they still do the afternoon tea?

Yeah, they still hold afternoon tea at 3:00 on seadays. Usually in the aft dining room. OP also mentioned in post #45 that he found it.
