Not a COVID Post...Dress Code Redux!

Sailing on the Breeze 16 October.  We sailed on CCL 6 times, with our last being in 2018.

This time just the wife and I up in a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony.

We are looking to just do nothing.  Wife is an RN and just needs to decompress and escape from the calls and texts begging her to work.

We want to do basically nothing, pack light as possible and just wing it the entire cruise.

But we do like going to the dinning room for the early seating and decided that is about the extent of any advanced planning.

So..has the dress code continued to relax (or not be enforced) to the point that I could wear some non-denim shorts, golf polo and Teva type sandals every night, even on elegant night?  Not trying to disrespect anyone who may dress up, but just looking for ultimate relaxation and comfort.

The dress code on faq says long shorts, like golf shorts.

Idk I'd wear shorts on dress up night, but they enforce very little.

I heard the maitre d' say no ball caps or wife beater tees and looked over to the next table and a couple of guys wearing both totally ignoring him. Maybe he said backwards ball caps, whatever. Dress code is mostly ignored if you cover your bottom and protect the seats.. no one wants to sit where you sat if your shorts were short and it was your bar legs on the seats.

It's pretty lax.

Without pictures 📸 I am skeptical...😉

Ha. It was pretty lax, that's for sure.  I was above the median with the single pair of long pants and nice Tommy Bahama I packed for Elegant. The key was being able to do it with a carry-on.  Mission easily accomplished as I wore shorts/polo all other nights.

Still, there were a handful of folks truly dressed for a special occasion.  More power to 'em.  They looked fantastic.

And yes, scpirate..... sunrise.  What's in a name, eh? 😆
