Should also add that in the UK, Celebrity are paying for the PCR tests and provide a preferred vendor link where they will pay direct and the results are sent direct to Celebrity as well as yourself. You can arrange your own and get reimbursed up to £99 if you prefer. The port testing facility is intended as a fall-back if the results of your arranged test do not come through in time for any reason, rather than as an alternative to arranging a test yourself. But they won't be paying for the tests once the UK STAYCATION sailings are completed.

Sorry that's tests to board, they will pay for any compulsory tests to disembark.
Mark_T Posted September 6, 2021 #55 Share Posted September 6, 2021 True, I suspect they still have some details to work out on the next batch of UK cruises after the staycations are done. Negotiating the requirements for Spain and Portugal may get interesting.
Sascol Posted September 6, 2021 #56 Share Posted September 6, 2021 Literally just got an email from Celebrity for our 9/26 Equinox cruise that stated: For US sailings departing through October 1, 2021, all guests two years of age and older, regardless of vaccination status, will now be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result at the time of embarkation. This test may be taken as either a PCR test or an Antigen test, conducted within THREE days of embarkation. This conflicts with what we were told on the phone yesterday when we called and the rep we spoke to said TWO days. One thing that is consistent is that they are inconsistent. We’ll do two days to play it safe.

Just made reservations for the Nov 6th sailing in the Reflection. Was told by the rep that we needed a Covid test 2 days prior to boarding & we are vaccinated. We sailed on the Edge in August & it was 3 days. So things are constantly changing.
