die_hard Posted September 18, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2021 Can someone fell me where I can find the most updated protocols for Royal? We’ve been hesitant to get back to cruising, but now looking at a 3 day to “test’ it out.

Onthegograndma Posted September 19, 2021 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2021 We just finished back to back cruises on Allure of the Seas from Aug 22 - Sept 5. Royal is doing awesome job making sure you stay safe n healthy. I could write a full page of all the precautions their taking. Book a 7 nt you will regret that you didn't. You do have to wear mask indoors unless eating or drinking and have shows for fully vaccinated where no masks n same show for everyone (families) where mask is required. If you don't want to wear masks then don't cruise yet. We had awesome time!

gptraveler Posted September 19, 2021 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2021 I have this exact question. Thanks for asking it. I'm looking at Anthem in November.
truffles2 Posted September 19, 2021 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2021 Just got off Allure b2b this morning and agree with OP. They are doing a great job. It was quite a treat to sail at 1/3 capacity!

Just realize those protocols are only valid for sailings through 10/15 - those beyond that date probably won't come out till the end of the month and may still not cover Nov sailings. While that's true they are only valid through 10/15, unless the CDC changes its mind, again, these protocols will probably continue. Especially the testing, even with a booster vaccine. That being said, protocols are working, so can’t see them relaxing them for a while.

If you don't want to wear a mask, sail on NCL from US ports. On our Alaskan cruise last month, no masks and no goofy social distancing rules. Just a fun, "normal" cruise. 100% vaccinated cruise. If you have faith in this experimental therapy and don't feel a mask is necessary, NCL or Celebrity are great mask-less options for cruising.
