I got an offer about a week and a half ago, any room $25 per person not day!  We booked a balcony on the Breeze for 10/11, with all the fees we paid $286 for two in a balcony!  I was so excited and couldn’t pass that deal up!

You do not have to get an offer. I went to Carnival.com and found great deals including $0 for an interior cabin nobody would want. Need to have your bags packed and ready to go though. Unfortunately, wife could not/did not want to get off work. Otherwise would be writing this from a $154 per person balcony on a ship.

That is quite possibly part of their algorithm.  Someone with a lot of cruise days, OR who hasn't sailed on Carnival in a while, might be better pickins' than someone who cruises more often or more recently.

I don't know.  We have 31 CCL cruises, including one last month on Magic and we both got the $25.00 deal.  Jumped all over it! Elation in December!

Hahahaha I finally got a offer. Pay inside and get balcony for a short cruise. Good news I got a offer, bad news it's for only one date, dec 12, the exact date I have a rcl cruise. The other bad news is balconys are already sold out and the price isnt that good. I did check last  night at midnight and the offer wasnt there so if there were balconys they sold out in the last hours while I slept.

And the only date is dec 12. I'd even have considered a side by side, but not the same exact date. And the price is higher than what my 7 day rcl cruise costs. Not a good price, if it was lower a few hours ago. .. more than $100 a day before taxes and only inside and ov available. What a deal ... not.

$25/pppd is also being offered out of Baltimore on the Pride for Sep/Oct 2021.  I have this offer through Players Club and my wife has a similar offer under VIFP (she doesn't gamble).  Also have an offer for interior room for $100/pp for 7 day cruise with $200 OBC.

I don't believe it's too far out of the question that Carnival can see who usually travels with who, and knowing they can bring in a gambler by advertising to the other half.

Had a relative who worked at Carnival in the IT department.  He didn't give me much insider info on the algorithm, but would tell me general stuff.  The VIFP and casino deals are separate calculations, although he didn't say there was not any cross-over consideration.

For VIFP they may consider gender, type of cabin usually booked, residency, spending tendencies, bars and eating areas normally visited, etc.  This is a constantly changing algorithm depending on current and anticipated bookings.  Not a shocking revelation, but I would be curious to know the weight put on certain datum.  My wife got five really unbelievably sweet VIFP deals (neither one of us visits the casino, that I know of) that I almost just wrote off as spam.  We could have booked four sailings for the same ticket price as one of the bargain prices that I usually find.  We were limited to one booking due to vacation time we had available.

I must not be as VIFP as Mrs. Cube, as I got nothing.  This is the first time we had to book with me as guest.  That actually caused confusion in Carnival's system.  Great customer service quickly resolved issues, and away we go on October 23.
