go to your actual booking manager on the Carnival site. I just checked for my 11/20 cruise and those are not available for specialty restaurant pre-reservations. When you click that from the Hub app, it is just showing you the generic list for that ALL ships.

Thank you! you are correct! I didn't see them there for purchase either. How awesome is that! I wonder if they will do a deal with the at charge restaurants like the steak place, teppenyaki and Rudis.

We’re on Mardi Gras in late January.  For those of you who have experienced the free speciality options on Mardi Gras, did you make your reservation on the HUB app AFTER you boarded or did you simply wait in line?  As mrak said above, they don’t show up in the Cruise Manager.

Depends if you're on Your time Dining. If so,you make same night reservations just like if you were dining in the MDR in Cucina or Chibang. No reservations for the bar b que .

We were on MG a few weeks ago - we never waited more than 10 minutes for any of the restaurants you mentioned.  We usually checked in on the app, grabbed a drink on the way and the table was ready by the time we arrived!  For the first time ever, we didn't set foot in the MDR, ate in specialty restaurants each night and it was amazing!

We did MDR once.  Totally agree that speciality restaurants are the way to go.  We did pay for steakhouse and tapinaki which were totally worth it.

Could you point/quote where anyone said it was free/included?   Fahrenheit 555, Bonsai Teppanyaki, Bonsai Sushi, Seafood Shack, Chef's Table, Emeril's and Rudi's Seagrill are all upcharge options as on other ships so equipped.

We just got off yesterday and the above mentioned are pay. Cuchina and Chibang are free at dinner but a warning....if you have a set dining time you can not eat in them until after 8 pm as they are used first for anytime diners.

We just did a  B2B on the Mardi Gras and enjoyed the Cucina and Chibang a few times for free.  We talked to the waitstaff and they felt the restaurants would remain free because the MDR was not designed to hold everyone.  Also the staff are not Cucina or Chibang but belong to the anytime crew and can be moved around.  Hope that's true and look forward to experiencing them again.

We went to ChiBang, Cucina (twice) and Guy’s Pig & Anchor on the Mardi Gras in September.  It worked out well for us and for Carnival, since we enjoyed it so much we paid to eat at JiJi’s, Cucina, Guy’s Pig & Anchor, and the Steakhouse on the Horizon last week 🙄.   It actually was a good deal - $60 pp for the steakhouse plus two of the others.

We are boarding on Oct 30th. Are reservations required for Chibang ??

Yes, for dinner.

If you have YTD you can start booking via the app at 5:30 when they both open (as well as your MDR).

If you have set dining you can begin booking them at 7:30 pm.

We had YTD and at no time was there ever anything but "Wait time ten minutes or less" showing for either Cucina or Chibang.  On the first formal night there was a longer wait (20 minutes I think) for our assigned MDR, but we expected that.

I think booking for set-time diners opened at 7:30 pm on our sailing (10/09).  .
