iamsteph Posted October 16, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2021 I tried searching but didn't come up with anything. Since the restart, is Carnival still doing the platinum/diamond priority debarkation? Specifically, the self-assist, where you all meet up at a certain time in a certain place with all your luggage? Lee Cruiser Posted October 16, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2021 They did both self-assist and checked luggage priority debarkation on our Sunrise cruise back in September.
LRDR01 Posted October 16, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2021 I agree with Lee Cruiser - We received a letter in our cabin with our dedicated debarkation luggage tags toward the end of both of our cruises since the pandemic. One we did the self-assist and the other we put our luggage out the night before. We were instructed on the letter to meet at a designated area for priority debarkation. Just follow the instructions on the letter. It was quick and efficient on both of our cruises.
Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted October 16, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2021 For the 9/12 Pride sailing the itinerary said we'd return to port for debarkation at 10am. On the last night we (platinum) got a special letter saying we'd actually arrive to port before 9am and should meet in Taj Mahal at 9am for self assist or use our "#1" luggage tags. We only travel with an overhead-bin sized rolling bag and backpack, so we were off the ship at 9:10am or about then.
Bostwick girl Posted October 16, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2021 On Magic end of August and Oct 7, self assist was called first by their muster stations. Platinum/Diamond checked luggage met on deck 3 by 8:30. Both times we went down about 15 minutes early, and they were walking off the ship. Went very smoothly. Knights on the Beach Posted October 16, 2021 #6 Share Posted October 16, 2021 We're Platinum and did self assist off the 8/26 Magic. We were directed to wait in the dining room with Platinum/Diamond cruisers. We were home (2 miles from Port) at 7:44 am and that was after waiting for our Uber driver to pick us up a few minutes after we walked off the ship. Super quick and easy.

They also showed the Thursday night game in the Sports Bar and Casino Bar on our 9/12 cruise. Carnival stepped up and bought an NFL package, but the Saturday games were slim picking.

evandbob Posted October 16, 2021 #11 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Mardi Gras Sept sailing had no priority boarding, but they did have priority diamond self assist. We were in the parking lot getting into our hotel shuttle at 7:55 AM.
