Portable Oxygen Concentrator

Back in August Carnival Corporation put in a policy for all their cruise lines that if you use a portable oxygen concentrator they would not let you board during their "restart" period which was to end on Dec. 31, 2021.  My transatlantic scheduled for Oct. 30 from Barcelona had to be moved to 2022.  My Caribbean cruise set for November was cancelled.  Nowhere on either HAL or Carnival could I find any info as to what will happen after that date.  I've sent emails to corporate for both HAL and Carnival but no response.

Today I finally got someone on the phone at Carnival who said that they have an internal memo that this policy will be extended thru March 2022.  I wasn't happy with that date but I was so grateful to have updated info since I wanted to book for Jan. 2, 2022.

I hope this helps anyone who was searching for updated information.

JMO but I think this is very important for those that need them and worthy of an announcement via a thread.  I appreciate Helen sharing the information to help others 👍

It should also help those searching 😉 🙄
