Glad you and your family had a good time. There seemed to be alot of family groups on board. We enjoyed the cruise also, although we had a couple of issues, one which was our own fault for deciding to do without a balcony on a 5 day cruise! Never again! Also, we wished the weather would have been a little better, but that again was not RC's fault. We did notice alot lacking in the housekeeping department, but agree with you that the food, entertainment and ship itself were all great. We booked one RC excursion which was fine, and another privately which was cancelled :(, again not RC's fault.

Next time for us it is back to the balconies on the Radiance class, and no more western Caribbean!

And wolfcathorse, the captain was Per Arne Kjonso, and it took us two days to understand him :o !

Glad to hear you had a great cruise! We're going in 3 weeks and although we've been on the Enchantment, it was 2 years ago and I've forgotten some of the details so I hope you don't mind if I ask you some questions.

1. Can you tell me what nights were formal and semi-formal nights?

2. Also, are snacks like chips, pretzels and other munchies available? If so, where would you find them? (I didn't travel with kids on my last cruise on the Enchantment!)?

3. Where do you buy the soda card?

How early can you get off the ship in Belize?

4. What kind of shows were there?

I think that's it for now! Thanks for any help you can give me and again, it was so nice to see that you enjoyed your cruise so much!

Question number 1.- the 2nd night was formal and the other nights were smart casual no shorts and some people wore dress jeans and some were suits. 2- the only time I seen snacks were in the stores i think, but I don't recall seeing them any place else. Now that you mentioned it I don't remember seeing any at all.3-When you first arrive on the 4th floor in front of the dinning room there will be a table to sign up.( it comes in handy get it).4 It really depends we had an excursion so the tenders for people without excursions were first unless you had an excursion that started early ours started at 9:30.(IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN EXCURSIONS IN BELIZE-GET ONE BECAUSE WHEN YOU GET TO THE PORT THERE IS NOT MUCH TO DO WITHOUT ONE !!!!!).5-the shows were great all of them. They had a variety of them on certain nights.

What you want to do is when you arrive go straight to the dinning room and ther will be a guy sitting there to answer questions and change seating if possible. They do have seating for twelve. Ask for seating table 408 that is were we sat and it is right inside the door so when you come in you sit and the table is positioned nice it makes you feel you are a special group. Our head waiter was Sean our waiter was Archie and our asst waiter was Joey-great team. Just make sure soon as you board you go straight there.

We were in cabin 4877 on the new floor ( the new section). It was windy alot untill we arrived in Key west and the rest of the cruise was windy also. The seas were find but remember-(BONNIE WORKS WONDERS). When we book our next cruise it we be the same time because the weather in FT lauderdale was cold when we left because of that cold spell that hit in the east, normally everybody says it is warm and not windy.

I forgot the solarium was closed every time I passed through because of wind but that dosen't mean it was closed all the time, I was rarley in that area. The whole cruise was nice and the service was out of this world. We want to go again next year on Enchantment and Freedom in 2008 to expensive now.We will take our kids next year and adults the year after.

This was my first cruise and my wife's 3rd. I loved it and didn't want it to end.

Beautiful ship, great staff, great shows.

Key west was a bit cold, but overall was a wonderful experience. We are booking on Mariner for next April and can't wait.

It is taking a while to get rid of my "sea legs" but well worth this incredible experience.

My wife has me addicted.

My favorite was The cave tubing in Belize. We met some wonderful folks and Mr. Tom was most accomodating.

Signed,

Crusing Catherine's Husband!

I am glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise. We just got home from the Vision and it too was wonderful. Only problem was the week slipped by to fast.

As far as crown and anchor it is very beneficial. The more you cruise the better it gets. You get a gift in your room plus a coupon book. After 5 cruises you get priority boarding and embarking.

We flew into FLL airport. We went right outside and got a taxi to the terminal. The cost was about 12-15 dollars. I would recommend doing this. The transfers by RCCL are much more expensive. When we got to the airport there were people using the RCCL transfers. They still had to get all of their own bags to the bus and then had to wait until the bus filled up. We went straight to the ship with no wait. Because of doing this we were able to board the ship about 11:30 AM.

We decided to stay in Fort Lauderdale for one night after the cruise. We used the hotel shuttle from the port to the hotel and then from the hotel back to the airport. Not quite as easy and quick as a taxe but free. If cost is not an issue, I would recommend not using the shuttle and just taking a taxi.

There are chips and salsa available at the solarium cafe, and the windjammer buffet included thoe "shrimp chips" (sorry I don't know how to describe them any better, its the puffed up potato starch, colored white or green or pink) and a couple other forms of "chip"-like items at the asian-themed station. I did make a plate of those and take it to go as a snack for us one day. But yes, for true potato chips and pretzels, a visit to the Frito Lay aisle to get something for your childrens' carry-on bags will come in handy.

But serving themselves soft-serve frozen yogurt, vanilla, chocolate, vanilla-chocolate swirl, and sometimes strawberry and vanilla-strawberry swirl, can be fun for kids too. And pizza slices and burgers and hot dogs and chicken burgers from the solarium cafe. They won't lack for sustinence!

My family and I will be on the Enchantment on the April 1st sailing. We are all excited - Me, my wife, my daughter (9), and son (8). We are flying down the night before and staying at the Hyatt Pier 66 Hotel. We are using Phil Layfette in Ocho Rios for the Falls and River Rafting, then on to Margaritaville. In Grand Cayman, we are going on the Nativeway Rays, Reef, and Rum Pointe Beach Tour. We are from the Atlanta, Georgia area and are looking forward to meeting fellow Cruise Critic members.

Glad to hear you had a great time. We are on the April 10 sailing and were wondering what excursions you booked. Also, what was your take on Cozumel?

Thanks for telling me about the chips and salsa and the shrimp chips (I knew exactly what you meant!), logan1_2000! You're right, with all the other food around, you would think that the kids would have more than enough to eat! However, with kids, you never know! And since I'm of Japanese descent, I'll definitely have to look out for the Asian themed station!
