neuronbob Posted November 13, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2021 I am thoroughly confused about health visa requirements for our upcoming Nieuw Statendam cruise for 11/21/21. Are people on recent cruises having to pay for and fill out health visas/clearances to enter the Bahamas and Jamaica (our ports all all in those two countries), or not? Just doing my due diligence and completing our planning. For instance, the Bahamas’ travel web site speaks of cruises starting from and ending in the Bahamas, but is not clear on cruises starting from outside the Bahamas.
1025cruise Posted November 13, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2021 If arriving by cruise ship, no health visa is required for the Bahamas.

Agree, we did not have to get them for Rotterdam’s 5-day cruise that departed 11/05, and our itinerary was entirely in the Bahamas.

Rare ottahand7 Posted December 21, 2021 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2021 I have gotten the Visa message regarding our 2/13 Caribbean cruise on the NS. If we choose to stay on the ship in the Visa ports do we still need to get these. We are not going to Jamaica or the Bahamas. The only one we have an excursion pre-booked is St. Kitts - Nevis. Thanks.
CruiserBruce Posted December 21, 2021 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2021 Staying on the ship rarely matters...you are in that countries waters. For a US citizen, no Caribbean country requires a visa for cruise passengers...in fact you aren't required to own a passport. As far as health visas or related, see: https://www.stkittstourism.kn/travel-requirements Looks like you are more or less meeting the requirements as you board the ship.
