pehlibaar Posted November 19, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2021 On one of our previous cruises, I think NCL, we were able to go to an area and view the "cockpit" where they steer the ship. You couldn't go in but you can watch from a little glass window area. Do Disney cruises, specifically the Dream, have anything like this?
jrm9999 Posted November 21, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2021 No, none of the Disney ships have this.
t18c97 Posted November 21, 2021 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2021 Usually they have a channel on TV that gives backstage tours of parts of the ship including the bridge.

That would be the "bridge", and even on the NCL ships that had the viewing rooms, the curtains are no longer opened for viewing. Security issues.

Each line has its own ISPS code (International Ship and Port Security), and that will determine if the bridge is open to viewing during normal operations. I don't know Cunard's policies. jstraw89 Posted December 30, 2021 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2021 Just off the NCL Epic and they had a viewing room that was open while in port. I believe it was also open during sea days.
gometros Posted January 27, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 27, 2022 I miss the old Magic fitness center where you could exercise overlooking the bridge.
