I'm getting ready to do some snorkeling on my next cruse in December, and want to do some underwater photography and/or videography, which isn't going to lend itself to my DSLR 🙂. I picked up the Panasonic Lumix TS30 - anyone have any suggestions, tips, tricks, etc... ?

Not familiar w that one as I have another underwater camera.  One thing is that most of them don't float so if you drop them they sink.  You need to get a camera strap that has positive buoyancy which keeps them from sinking.

Definitely get a floating camera strap. And treat it as though it will flood because if you keep it long enough, it will.

Other than that make sure you've got all your settings set before you start snorkeling so you don't have to dig into menus. And make sure the camera is dry before opening card/battery doors or the waterproof seals won't really matter.
