Question about changing cruise ships

Hi everyone!

I booked an 8 day cruise from Miami for about $550 per person around 3 months ago. The price has dropped pretty dramatically during that time, and now there is another cruise around the same time as the one I booked for about $300 each person. Does anyone know if I moved cruises if I would be refunded the savings, or if it would be awarded as OBC?

Any responses would be helpful!

Thanks

Not sure if you are able to "move cruises."  It all depends on the fare type you booked, how fare you are into the cancellation period, and the generosity of whomever you speak to at Carnival.  Traditionally, these are treated as a cancel-and-rebook situation and you would lose whatever your cancellation penalty is.

They aren't going to give you money back for switching cruises if you booked early saver.  They may in fact charge you a $50 fee per person to switch with no refund either.

Early saver normally has a penalty of $50, with the remainder of the deposit held as a FCC.
