Rare craig01020 Posted December 28, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2021 (edited) My cruise ship is scheduled to arrive at 7 am on Sunday, Jan. 16. Is it realistic to book a 1 p.m. domestic flight home from LAX? Thanks. Edited December 28, 2021 by craig01020

MomtoCCC Posted January 29, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2022 What is earliest you would consider getting a flight from LAX when leaving cruise? Are their taxis at the port you can grab easily?
Ashland Posted January 29, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2022 We just got off Navigator in San Pedro (Jan 17-24) self assist started at 7:30am. Walked off easily no lines at all. Taxi's at the port if needed. You could easily make a flight from LAX leaving pretty early.

Looking to do a short weekend one in March.

irie0518 Posted February 12, 2022 #9 Share Posted February 12, 2022 Is a 10:29 flight too risky? It's a direct flight so I really would like to take that one. Normally I don't try to book flight before 1100. But there have been lots of times we have got there way earlier that we thought. I am just scared b/c this one is from LAX. But I am hoping if I do self assist it might be doable. Any insights? Thanks.
Husky61 Posted February 12, 2022 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2022 I would consider the 10:29 AM flight, only because I have Tsa-pre check and "Clear". So the length of the security line is not a factor. It's getting to the terminal from San Pedro.

Have you monitored the arrival and clearance times recently? How are you going to transport? 10:29 is very tight.

Well...that is perhaps the best day to try it...but we don't know how smooth clearing and disembarking has been.

Okay thanks for the guidance. I think I am going to try to get TSA precheck to hope put the odds in my favor.
