BelAir3737 Posted January 8, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2022 We are scheduled to leave on January 21st on the Equinox. It appears my husband may have come down with covid as of today, which is within 14 days of sailing. According to Celebrity policy we can request a full refund rather than FCC. We must provide a form as proof which is acceptable to Celebrity to qualify for the refund. They don't state exactly what this acceptable proof is. Has anyone had any experience with this and know what qualifies as an acceptable proof? Thanks for any information anyone may have.
Rare DCPIV Posted January 8, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2022 I don't know, but I would think that anything that they would accept for boarding (if the result were positive, of course) would be acceptable for the refund.
jelayne Posted January 8, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2022 (edited) Has he been tested other than a OTC home test? I'm sure they require a copy of the test results. Calling Celebrity should get the information on what & where to submit the info for a refund. If you booked with a TA they should be able to provide that information. Jeremiah1212 Posted January 8, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2022 Call Celebrity or your TA. They want a copy of the results emailed in. If there is a form at all it asks very basic information.
papaflamingo Posted January 8, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2022 (edited) Check out this link. I would assume that any officially monitored PCR positive test would be acceptable. Likely an antigen test too since they accept that for boarding. But I'd verify with a PCR if you haven't done one already, https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/cel-covid-19-cancellations-and-refunds-policy.pdf Edited January 8, 2022 by papaflamingo
BelAir3737 Posted January 8, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted January 8, 2022 Thanks to all of you. It would help if they spelled it out in their policies.
