*Cries for a different reason*….my Epic sailing on Sunday is still a go.  Would prefer a cash refund at this point.

Same.  I am going to stuck with credits from NCL, United, Marriot (points I bought for a cheaper way to afford the San Juan hotel) and my trip insurance which did not include cancel for any reason.  I will officially cancel under POM tomorrow.  1 Haven Cabin available, and 5 less passengers sailing.

Wait....didn't the 'Enhanced Peace of Mind' policy state that you could cancel any sailing between now and the end of May by january 31st for a full refund?  Did I read that wrong??  We took the Peace of Mind option on 12/31/21 for our 1/3/22 sailing and had to take fcc....then two days later they changed it to the 'Enhanced POM' which offered refunds over fcc....am I wrong?? (I searched ncl website and couldn't find the answer)

This is what we are thinking about too. I just did the Bliss the week of Thanksgiving but would consider that also as a 2nd choice.  But the February 5th Escape is still there...just not sure if I want to gamble on it staying.

Yeah...I prolly won't gamble on it. I'll see what happens in Feb I guess

The original POM policy said 100% fcc....but then they came out with the 'Enhanced POM' policy....I cannot find it anywhere... 😞

Nope, has always been FCC. NCL is not going to give up cash if they can help it.

So, three more ships added to the Jan. 5th cancellations announcement today.  I was just becoming very confident we could do our Jan. 29th, Dawn 11 day.  Now the previous Dawn 11 day is squashed, not a good omen.  Will we continue to experience death by 1000 cuts (so to speak) one cruise after another?   Cross my fingers.  Very unnerving for so many people.  At least there is some long-term hope I think.

Got the email this evening. My 17 Jan Panama Canal on the Pearl is cancelled. My letter stated 100% refund back to original form of payment and a 20% discount on future cruise that must be booked by 18 Jan 2023 and can apply to any sailing through May of 23. The 5 day notice of cancellation gave me sufficient time to cancel airline and hotel reservations and receive full refund. Disappointed of course, but happy the way NCL is handling this.

So sorry for those of you on this new list of cancellations.   We have all been through it before but it is never easy☹️

We were in Miami on Jan 4th when our Jan 5th on Getaway was cancelled.  A lot of depressed cruisers at our airport hotel, but many of us from our rollcall have re-booked to land vacations.  I hope you have a chance to make other plans that will work out for you.

We are headed to Las Vegas tomorrow as we can drive there (and much easier than flight changes).   I am glad we had a great cruise out of New Orleans 5 weeks ago.  Hope you all can find a trip that works for you🤞

I'm headed to Winter Park, CO this weekend, and I'll try again in Feb or March, although I probably won't get such a good deal!! Have fun in Vegas

Seems Bliss on January 21st to the Panama Canal is sailing.

Seeing that I have 10 days to go is giving me anxiety. Sigh, we'll see.

Since my ship isn't effected by this announcement, I won't get cash as I'm paid in full, only FCC.

After what I paid, I'd rather go on the cruise - masky-masky, gloves and all; because I want to see the Panama Canal.

I am likely going to cancel all of my excursions onboard. Though, I will miss the opportunity at ziplining in Costa Rica, the Safari jeep ride in Guatemala, and boat riding in Cabo San Lucas. 😩

Wow, this is big. Unfortunately I don’t think this is the end of it. Any ships that haven’t been hit yet, Will likely be. I think cruising is pretty much off till sometime in March at this point. Anyone else agree? Anyone else think there are more ships to come in this slaughter?

Anyone know if other lines are seeing this many cancellations? I haven’t been following the other lines lately,

I’m wondering the same thing. And if not, why. NCL had the strictest testing and vaccination requirements, doesn’t make sense to me that they would be the most closed right now

Unless it’s totally for financial reasons and they’re in a worse position than other lines. Maybe they’ve decided they don’t want to operate any more sailings in the red.

I'm on the 1/29 sailing of the Escape, so the 1st week back (at this point in time).  Who knows what next week may bring?  I guess I'll play the waiting game...  (Refund preferred over FCC)

Getaway 2/2, playing the same game.

Yep.  I just received the cancellation for my cruise on the Escape this weekend.  I will get a full refund. Yay.  Now I can wait it out until all of this craziness is over!

I am impressed that the refund will come so quickly.  Awesome!

As such, you will receive a full refund that will automatically be returned to the original form of payment provided at the time of your current reservation. No further action is required on your part; your refund will be automatically processed within five business days and will be returned within seven to ten business days from the processed date.

They may be getting pounded by credit card issuers.  I had a fully refundable airfare to Europe that I paid for to ensure I would get my money back - the airline tried to give me a credit instead (!?) and then said it would take 90 days to process the refund.  Funny, I don't think it took them 90 seconds to process the charge when they collected payment.  So I called my bank, explained the issue.  They gave me a credit pending resolution, then went off to challenge the delayed refund with the airline.  Two weeks later I got a letter from the bank confirming the credit.  That's a really disruptive way for a vendor to process a refund.  If enough people do that it makes sense to shorten the process.  The truth of the matter is they could do it immediately if they wanted to.

I wonder if their revenue on existing passengers doesn't cover fuel and food

For what it is worth, that is an excellent cruise, and the transit of the canal is fantastic.  Not sure why you'd cancel so many outdoor excursions . . . outdoor transmission is still not a thing as far as I know.  There is the bus ride, but that's mostly with people from the boat and you could see if they would open the windows for extra ventilation.

I'm pretty sure we won't get a deal like we the one we just canceled either...it was a casino deal, b2b, 12 days, club balcony extended balcony cabin....it was an awesome deal... 😞

Yes, correct you can convert FCC into a refund. You have to request it online. I did this recently. They don't advertise it and it is buried deep on their website.
