Flights to Vancouver?

Thoughts best time to book flights from US to Vancouver?   Is it the standard 3 to 5 months or are there other recommendations?    Any airlines you prefer?  We will be flying from Philly (or Newark if it helps shorten the travel time).

We sail end of July

Is Vancouver in Alaska?

This topic is typically discussed on the Cruise Air board. There is no "best time" to buy airfares. You do your research, starting before the seats are available, and perhaps even looking at dates different from when you are flying. You do this to get the range of prices for various options...late day flights, or redeyes, or multiple stops versus non-stops. When you see a price that you can live with, you buy, and don't look back.

We are flying from Indianapolis to Vancouver via Seattle with Alaska Air in May, 2022.  We bought our flights a few months ago (thinking September or October)....pricewise haven't changed much but happy with our times, etc.  I had signed up for the Alaska Air charge card to get the companion fare at a reduced price.

Was checking my booked flights for this year. Flight in late February ( SFO- SAN) is 35% more expensive than when we booked in September.  Flight in June (SFO-DCA) is a little over 10% more expensive than when we booked in September.

There is NO "best time" or magic time to book airfares.

Minneapolis to Van R/T is expensive. Lately, 100% refundable is a huge consideration; HAL has a ‘FlightEase’ programme as do other lines.  Things are changing as we speak. I will wait until 2/months before sailing

MSP to YVR consider MSP - SEA and surface transportation to YVR

Amtrak and various bus charter shuttles are available

The return can be done the same way (air ticket SEA-YVR  YVR-SEA pricey)

Another not so short way MSP to YEG (Winnipeg) connection to YVR

This is also possible via YYC (Calgary) both of these less costly than the non-stop.

The MSP YVR non-stop is on Delta and seems to be seasonal - there is a Delta

connection via SLC (Salt Lake City) other airlines via DEN (Denver)
