Purchase internet pre-sailing for Liberty

We haven’t sailed Carnival for a long time & don’t remember how we handled internet.

 

Looking at the mid level package $10.40 day pp.  Will this be good for texts, internet websites & Facebook?  
 

How is the speed?

Per day means we don’t have to count minutes?

I had that package on the Liberty a few weeks ago. It was good for all the basic needs and it supported video calling through “Social media” messenger.  The speed wasn’t awful, but adequate.

I was planning to get the higher package on the Mardi Gras on February 5.  If I get the mid level package and don’t care for the speed, is it possible to upgrade to the higher package onboard?  Is internet better than average on the MG?

Yes, email works on the mid level package.
