What kind of travel insurance should I get?

Thinking of booking a cruise for April. Haven't sailed since before pandemic.

 

lots has changed so not sure what I should be looking for as fas as travel insurance is concerned.

It all depends upon the type of coverage you're looking for.  Is it strictly medical?  Do you want trip interruption?  Flight delay?  baggage loss?  There are many options.  The more options you choose, the more expensive it'll be.  Will it be a single cruise policy?  Or a yearly one?

There are many policies that cover COVID these days. For cancellation, you must have a doctor’s confirmation of diagnosis and orders not to travel, so don’t cancel before you have the proper documentation in place.

 

If you are concerned about quarantine, look for a policy with generous travel delay benefits.
