chamima Posted February 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) With all of the threads and comments on Celebrity's change of policy on masking as of Feb.12 there has been no discussion of how this applies (or doesn't) to crew. Does anyone know ( please avoid the "I think this will happen" comments as that is just opinion and doesn't answer anything). Thanks! The change does not apply to the crew. 1

Algebralovr Posted February 11, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2022 Just talked to a friend who is on crew on a ship - he didn't even know the mask rules had been eased for guests yet.
Rare cruisestitch Posted February 11, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2022 (edited) Our Captains Club hostess, Sophia, said that she is hopeful that the crew will have a slight modification to their mask requirement. Currently if you work in one location, let’s say café al Bacio, a single mask is all that is required. If you work throughout the ship at different venues, as she does, they must double mask. She is hopeful that it will revert to a single mask but they have heard nothing official Edited February 11, 2022 by cruisestitch
canderson Posted February 11, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2022 In November, crew were allowed to go maskless while below decks, giving them at least a bit of respite from them. With any luck, they will eventually be allowed that again at some point not too far in the future once the 'reaction' to omicron passes.
