We have not sailed Carnival in many years, do they still offer Platinum benefits?

One benefit that is happening now is that platinums can check in online for their cruise two days earlier (16 days out) than the general passengers.  This gives them the opportunity to select an early appointment time.  I checked in just after midnight eastern time 16 days out and got 10:00 to 10:30 appointment time and boarding zone A02 on the Mardi Gras cruise this month.

I'm seeing 15 days out. Trying to check-in at 16 days and apparently need to wait until midnight 2/15 (15 days) to check in for 3/03.

I was able to check in after waiting for midnight on the night of the 9th for my cruise on the 26th.  Official check in date was the 10th.

They send you on a scavenger hunt to get some of your platinum benefits.  Go to any bar to get your large water, go to Pixels to get your gift, call room service to get your chocolate plate.  Laundry still the same, dedicated line at guest service still the same.

We're turning platinum on our upcoming cruise. How does the laundry work, I know 3 bags per person. Is that all one day or any time?

The number of bags depends on the length of the cruise. You can redeem them any time.

Don't forget to pick up your pin at Pixels, too.

Also, since they're not doing the slots tournament, you get $25 cash/FunPlay in the casino.

I think there is a free drink or two somewhere?

Will the free play automatically be loaded on my card or do I have to ask for it at the casino?

Ok, good. We're 7 night so I think 3 bags each. By the time we get there, we'll need a few things laundered and then later the week will certainly be handy. I was always amazed by how much we could fit in those bags back in the "We'll wash whatever you can stuff in this bag for $20"

I think you'll have to ask for it. Some ships hand you cash, some may load it on your card or even give you chips. They ask if you play slots or tables.

On Freedom a few weeks ago I went to the cage and they asked if I wanted it loaded onto card, or cash.  I took the cash.

I am Platinum but have never done the laundry service. Does the room steward leave a bag for you or do I have to ask for it? Do they offer this service for a 4 day cruise?

There is usually a bag or 2 and a laundry list left in your cabin on the desk, in a desk drawer or near the safe.  You can ask your steward for more if needed.  I always leave a $5 bill on top of the bag and usually get it back the same day.  2 bags pp on 3-6 day cruises.

It must differ ship to ship. On the Breeze in August they loaded it to my card. On the Valor in November and January they handed me cash. Both happened at the cage. If I wanted it loaded to my S&S card, I had to go to Guest Services.

We are going on an 8 day soon. Is it 3 bags per platinum member or 3 bags per person in the cabin? 2 of us are gold and 1 platinum.
