PigsCanFly Posted February 23, 2022 #26 Share Posted February 23, 2022 I have been able to get $20 in ones at guest services and usually only $5 or $10 in ones at the cashier. Never had a fee charged at either.

I use a pouch from Amazon to carry cash in my shoulder computer bag (which I carry even if I don't have a computer along). They are a bit bigger than a standard envelope, mesh with a zipper. I carry extra US currency, and those international currencies that I hold onto for later use (Euro, Pounds, Yen, HKD, Baht, Won, and a few more). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BRNSQWY/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07BRNSQWY&pd_rd_w=RFTuv&pf_rd_p=0c758152-61cd-452f-97a6-17f070f654b8&pd_rd_wg=AXFnj&pf_rd_r=VNKCCWEYAKS06ABETQ6Z&pd_rd_r=50dbf391-839f-44e5-8e75-e7c1c56347c3&s=office-products&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFGMjBFUFhXSDIzMEUmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA2Mzc0NzMyQzRURUUzODM1T1NOJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0NzE0MTEzS1BKRUpDVU5CQlRWJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== Did you get the matching pencil sharpeners too? (I am just kidding. ) The envelope bags look useful, for lots of things.

I use a pouch from Amazon to carry cash in my shoulder computer bag (which I carry even if I don't have a computer along). I do, but I try to reduce my luggage bulk AND weight, plus consolidate valuables for safety's sake. I already have a pouch that I use for my passport and cash and credit cards, and I keep that in my carry-on bag (when I'm on board, that pouch goes in the safe). Throwing in the bulk of several hundred dollars' worth of singles for over a month of consecutive cruises would be POSSIBLE, but it wouldn't be CONVENIENT to deal with, and it's totally unnecessary, IMO. It's not a problem to take a $100 bill to Guest Services once in a while when there's no line and break it into smaller bills, and it's a lot easier to put several hundred dollars' worth of Benjamin Franklins into my pouch and keep it a manageable size. She has a pouch she keeps tip money in. If we use it all up, then we get change onboard. Usually she gets plenty though. That’s exactly what I do. I also keep all our dollar bills in the pouch every time we get one to use for tips. But since we don’t use cash much, the bank is easier. Only once I’ve had to go to guest services to make change.
