Thank you everyone for your condolences. Sheryl’s dad had been struggling for years with COPD and was in the end stages of that horrible disease. But he is now at peace and able to move on to his next adventure that we all will eventually participate in.

We are right now in flight from Fort Lauderdale to Salt Lake. It was such a good call to relax the Saturday away at the hotel vs stressing about making a 910am flight after getting off the ship. All the days of 6 hours of sleep on the ship makes a tired traveler. I slept over 10 hours last night and feel wonderful. It will also help with the slight jet lag traveling east to west.

Thank you everyone for following along on our journey. At one point it was in question and then it took another turn with the passing of a close loved one. But it was still a wonderful trip. I hope you enjoyed the posts.

In early April we are doing a short 4 day cruise on Navigator of the Seas out of LA with our twin 18 year old boys during their senior year spring break. Let me know if you are interested in another Live from me and the family. Till then, stay safe and healthy.

I would enjoy a live review. I’ve never cruised from the west coast.

Thank you!  We’ll be on the Allure in September and are staying at the Avid pre-cruise. Good to see some pics.

The staff was wonderful there too. The only downside was there was no lounge chairs by the pool. The gym was fabulous. There is nothing really within walking distance for dinner. So we just door dashed in food.

Incoming embarkation lunch food porn. They had the wild mushroom soup at Chops. It was delicious. We also got the shrimp cocktail and wedge salad. Wife had the Caesar Salad with the filet, and I had the simple Filet. For dessert we had the red velvet cake and the warm chocolate cake with coffee.

my wife dug into her salad before I was able to take a snapshot. 😭

YUM!  Looks delicious!  How much of an upcharge was it?  I heard that some of the specialty dining restaurants give big discounts on embarkation day.

My daughter and I did a sloth tour way back in 2018 in Roatan. Not a new thing just getting more popular I guess.  We used Victor Bodden back then and plan on doing the same in December when we finally make it back to Roatan.

We are going on a cruise in December too.  Which sailing will you be on?

So very sorry for your loss.  It sounds like he was a wonderful man.
Thanks SO MUCH for reviewing your cruise.  We have one scheduled later this year going to the same ports of call.  I feel like I learned so much from you and others who responded to your posts.  Yes, please do more cruise posts!

We had the unlimited dining package so it was included in our package. I believe lunch at Chops on embarkation day normally is around 25.00 per person. I don't know if they were offering any deals, since I didn't seek it out.

Well done! You have a good  conversational voice. Very easy to listen to.

Production video elements were very good. I liked the photo template. I liked that you were changing things up from video to pictures.
You had a nice mixture of Royal’s promo video with your own. It was nice and  smooth cut together. Your footage was very good with nice slow movement. Movement always keeps things interesting if it’s smooth and never jerky or sudden. Do you have a background in production or video? Looks very pro. Keep up the great work.

Cheers!

Thanks @Sea Dog ! I have zero background in production video. Just kinda self taught myself over the past month. I should have made a video of myself hunting through Google to try and figure out what I wanted to do. It would have been good comedy because I know none of the term’s people use in video production. If you see anything I can do better. Please let me know.

I will but I think you are doing great. Good news is that there is tons of how to videos on YouTube. What editor software do you use?
