jan_az Posted February 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2022 My rustic search did not find anything. How many cans or bottles ( and i understand I cannot have plastic bottles) of water and/or soda can each person bring onboard? Thanks in advance
sandiego1 Posted February 23, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2022 No soda. Go to HAL's website - Know Before You Go: Items such as sodas, energy drinks or other non-alcoholic items are not allowed on board in any form. Plastic water bottles are not allowed. However, an allowance of six liters, twelve (12) cans or cartons (500 ml in volume or less) or six (6) cans or cartons (1 liter in volume or less) of water are allowed per stateroom. Any amount in excess of this allowance will be not be allowed onboard. Water in plastic bottles will not be allowed onboard in any quantity, including in ports of call. Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding.

Wakepatrol Posted February 23, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2022 Looks like the cruise line finally found out they want to sell sodas to their passengers. No worries $3 for a soda in the middle of the ocean is a great deal😀

We brought on a 12 pack of La Croix sparkling water 12 oz cans in Dec. No pushback on bringing that onboard. 1
grest Posted February 23, 2022 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2022 I wish we could purchase bottled water or soda ahead of time to be delivered to our stateroom, like some other lines do...
jan_az Posted February 23, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted February 23, 2022 You can purchase water to be delivered. I found that on the website under Indulgences
Rare FlaMariner Posted February 23, 2022 #9 Share Posted February 23, 2022 (edited) HAL's spigot water is fine for us....No need to haul or buy water. They provide it for free in the lido, MDR and all the food venues and your stateroom! Edited February 23, 2022 by FlaMariner

Thank you! we enjoy our Bubley (or Buble! as Michael would say) and was wondering if we could bring a 12-pack aboard for the enjoyment in our cabin. If you prefer chilled water and don't mind the ship's tap water but forgot to bring a refillable bottle, buy a 16 oz Open Water can once onboard. These cans are resealable and fit great in the fridge. They are all aluminum so they chill pretty fast too. In case you are worried about drinking the tap water from your cabin bathroom, don't worry. It is the same water as provided in all the dining venues. It is produced by the ship's water processing plant so it is totally safe to drink. 1
jeh10641 Posted February 24, 2022 #13 Share Posted February 24, 2022 On our 12/01/21 Rotterdam cruise, I brought 12 waxed paper, 11 oz., bottles of Premier Protein shakes on board. I told HAL before our cruise about them (dietary needs). No problem. I asked our cabin stewards (Roby and Addy) to empty the minibar so I could store them. It was done in less than an hour after requesting.

(We do not pay surcharges for water, coffee or food when we are onboard......we do pay a surcharge for wine!)
