Would I loose OBC doing this?

Hello all!

I just did a mock booking of our two MD sailings this June and July.

I got a CARNIVAL PLAYERS CLUB FUNMATCH OFFER (PXF) for about a hundred less than

the early saver fare we paid. Looking at the fine print, it looks like we would forfeit

our promotional OBC, which is much larger than the savings of this offer.

 

Has anyone done this - and did you loose your OBC?

Yes, you'll lose any promotional onboard credit if you change the offer you sail under.

I bet we will see more and more of these bait and switch offers - save a few bucks, but we take away the 1200 OBC...

My OBC gets pretty loose when I start buying drinks...

How is that bait and swtich?  There are always a lot of different offers when you do a new booking. You have to decide which one is best for you..... non-refundable, with or without on board credit, etc.  If you do a new search to price match you have to review the offers again.  There is no bait and switch here. A new search does not "take away" your OBC .... it shows you the current offerings and some (or all) may not have OBC.

Bait and switch?  How so?  Not everyone has a fare with $1200 OBC.  It may be an outstanding deal for them.
