Stingray towel animal, blue fuzzy nap blanket, and excursion tickets. And my magnet hook wall display. I despise a bunch of papers at the desk area.

Oh and we figured out my door. You have to PULLLLLLL.

What a great idea! I hate papers on the desk as well! Are all the walls in the room magnetic?

Enjoying your review.  We are sailing the 6 day itinerary at the end of the month. Our last cruise before Covid was the 8 day itinerary and loved it!  You are bringing back great memories!

Yay! Excited for you!! It’s so good to be back on a ship.

So the walls from the bathroom around to the desk are - I have both hook magnets and clip magnets. Haven’t found a need for the hooks yet, but I know a lot of people will hair beach bags, purses, swimsuits, etc on them. Perhaps bath towels if you have a few people in the room.

Thinking I might get some cardboard straws for our 8 day horizon cruise in May!

Ya know, they have those “plastic” ones that are made out of corn or something and are compostable. If you could find a box of those, that’s probably the best bet! I’ll have to remember that for next time.

How’s the wind?  It was quite windy yesterday at the port of Miami and today looks just as bad for Horizon on her way South.

It’s windy!!!! Boat was definitely rocking last night! When I came outside about an hour ago it was still wet and dark - not rain, just sprays from the wind, it’s now sunny and warming up quite a bit, but still pretty windy!

Today’s a day at sea as we make the long trek to Aruba. Making our way around Cuba. We were sailing with the Sunrise for awhile last night but they headed in the opposite direction to Costa Maya. We’ve now had the Symphony of the Seas on our tail all morning. They’re docking in Haiti tomorrow.

Did you purchase an internet package? If so, which one? Seems to be working great for you. Also, you mentioned smoking...where are the smoking areas? Is there an area near any of the pools?

I have the premium plan, and I’ll say it’s been working great mostly. I will have to do little bouts of work here and there through the week unfortunately so I needed the “best” plan. It was spotty yesterday but last night and Sunday far today has been smooth sailing. No pun. 😂

Smoking areas are on Deck 5 FWD both sides, then Deck 11 Starboard both at the main lido pool and the aft pool. My sailaway party pics from yesterday (now second guessing if I got to posting those - will check) are taken from the smoking section.

Then of course the casino if playing.

The crew assigned to the smoking areas are stellar and super attentive. I’ll be giving them a nice tip at the end of the cruise.  And as much as smoking is frowned upon, I’ve had some of the best conversations meeting people there!

I got these battery candles that operate on a timer, 6 hours on, 18 off. I can’t remember what time I turned them on last night but I think it was about 10, so they SHOULD turn on again at 10 tonight. Thought these would be a bit nicer than a standard night light.
