Cruise Parking Southampton

Previously I have taken the "free" parking offered by PandO.  This year I need to pay it.  I have two choices

ABP Parking which will be £84.60 for the week or

Triangle Parking £79

So pricewise not much difference.  I suppose I am wondering which is better for

Walking to terminal

Safety of car

Any views?

Quick comment - Triangle Parking take you to the terminal in a minibus, so no walking.

how much was CPS?

£95.

However I have posted this in wrong forum.  Its RCI I am sailing with not P+O!   Got a few booked, moved forward etc that I managed to get myself confused!

I dont think ABP parking serves Ocean, QE2, or Mayflower, however CPS and P4C do offer valet parking at all 3 Carnival terminals.

Dinglebert has already said he was getting mixed up and was talking about parking with RCI, and not P&O, who do provide parking with ABP.

We parked at West Quay Multi storey during 2 nights pre cruise at the Premier Inn and 14 nights on Iona which we disembarked on Saturday.

Cost was £80 for 16 nights £5 per night.

Second time we have parked here and very safe.

The entrance is behind the West Quay premier Inn.

Just turn up.

Everyone who stays at the West Quay premier Inn use this car park thinking it is only 24 hours parking.

There is a bridge linking the car park on deck 7 to the West Quay shopping centre.

Drive in,your car registration is photoed and on the ticket that comes out of the machine.

Pay at pay machine when exiting.

I spoke to the parking management and they said lots of cruisers leave their car there.

We always used APB when cruising with RCI. They normally send us an email with a discount code every year - 10% off - but I must have deleted the latest one. I wonder whether anyone could use the code. Worth asking on the RCI pages.

Britannia will be at Ocean terminal which is about 15 minutes walk.

Best idea is go into the West Quay Premier Inn which is about 100 metres away and book a taxi from their free phone.

Taxi fare is around £6 and takes about 5 minutes.

Taxis are metered on time not distance so price dependent on traffic.

Our taxi from Ocean terminal on March 19th went into the West Quay car park and dropped us off at our car and charged £6.
