Colon as a port stop

We are looking at a cruise on Celebrity Constellation next spring. It goes to Cartagena, Colon and Puerto Limon. It does not go into the Panama Canal. What type excursion is best to do in Colon? We are there from 8 am until 6 pm. THX

Thanks. I have read so much I forgot about that one. I think we have decided against this itinerary. Doesn't sound like what we like to do.

We are looking at a similar itinerary and had the same question. I had also read above thread and didn’t find it particularly helpful. Thanks for asking.

What excursion would be best depends on your interests. I imagine you want to see the Canal, so one offering a ferry ride through at least a portion, with some lock action, would be good, if that si what you are there to see.

Others seem to have less interest in the Canal, so they might book the Embera Village tours, if offered. There are frequently some wildlife type tours as well.

All depends on your interests.
