Caribensun Posted March 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2022 Anyone experience rough seas and or rain end of September? Looking at a cruise with Cabo, La Paz, Laredo, Puerto Vallarta. Thanks, Sandipalms
LuvCruiSun Posted March 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2022 We took the Mexican riviera cruise last September. The only time the seas were a little rocky was the last seaday which is typical. No rain at all.
MSN-Travelers Posted March 31, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2022 As a general rule . . . September is the tail end of the rainy/humid season. October is a transition month. There is a north-to-south ocean current along the coastline just north of Cabo. If you experience rough seas it will likely occur durning the final travel day north to the home port. This will be especially true if the winds that day are out of the north too. Enjoy . . .
Boatdrill Posted April 17, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2022 End of September can have hurricanes along the coast (PV, Mazatlan, sometimes up to Cabo) .
KeepCalmBearOn Posted April 19, 2022 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2022 It is the humidity more than anything else, although by the last two weeks of September, it is getting better.
candydane Posted June 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2022 So what weather/humidity should we expect the middle of October? Thanks.

We had one cruise later in October, 90 degrees, 80%. It's hurricane season. Hurricanes require high air and sea temps, which usually creates higher humidity. KeepCalmBearOn Posted June 6, 2022 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2022 17 hours ago, candydane said: So what weather/humidity should we expect the middle of October? Thanks. Early September is rainier and more humid than late September and by mid October, even less rainy and humid. My parents had a home in Puerto Vallarta for more than 30 years and about mid October is when they started going back for longer stays. Also, because we live in So Cal we do Mexican Riviera cruises on a pretty regular basis and about mid October is when we start taking cruises there, although if the price is low enough, we will go late September too. There is a Navigator of the Seas cruise from LA leaving on September 23 we are considering because of the deal Royal Caribbean is throwing at us. The lower prices tell you that late September, early October aren't the best times for a Mexican Riviera Cruise, but the bargains are compelling. The September 23 cruise is the first full blown Mexican Rivera cruise of the season for Navigator of the Seas. Before that they are doing 3 day So Cal cruises. Ashland Posted June 13, 2022 #9 Share Posted June 13, 2022 Love the Mexican Riviera cruises (7 nights)...we've done them for years usually in early mid October. We just did the Navigator in January and had amazing weather doing another one January 2023. Will be going to some of these ports also on our Panama Canal cruise this October.
