Royal up- 2 rooms

Recommended Posts

Ok we have 2 adjoining balcony rooms for my wife and 2 kids for our June cruise.

If we bid on a 2bd room grand suite and win (just bidding on one of our reservations). I understand that I wouldn’t be able to cancel the other room and still would pay for a room we wouldn’t use.

However obviously all 4 of us could sleep in the 2bd room suite. Has anyone done this? Is there a way that all 4 of us could use the “perks” of the suite?

You could all sleep in it but only the people assigned to the cabin that got upgraded would get any perks associated.

So you'd either have to leave the 2 behind to enjoy the suite perks or forgo them.

And if your two kids are in a room together and underage there's a chance you might have an issue with their room no longer being next to yours, but I'm not sure on the likelihood of that.

I think that would be a problem, one adult would have to be put in the cabin with the child, even if just on paper. Therefore one adult and one child would get suite privileges.

You would need to cancel one balcony and combine everyone into the other balcony before you RoyalUp to a suite. And hope you win it.

Otherwise there is no way the two people booked in the balcony that was not upgraded can use the Suite Lounge or eat in Coastal Kitchen. If you try to make a dinner reservation for four people they will check your room details and see only two people booked in the room.

Ok. Thanks for the info- wish they would let you pay upgrade the other 2, since they only charge you for 2 people for Royal up.

btw- yes we have 1 adult in each room with 1 kid…

You can pay... you just pay regular rates not royal up.
