Please take good care of him… I will see him in two weeks! Have a great cruise and enjoy yourself! Refresh my memory please, Benny. I know you’ve mentioned it before, but you have so many cruises booked that I can’t keep track. What ship are you going to be on in two weeks? Thanks.

Just a snack....4 appetizers, 4 lobster tails, only 2 desserts and is that sea bass? Benny from Eden and Raw on Five earlier this week is laughing at you. You'll have to redeem yourself tonight at Fine Cut. 😉 1

Hahahaha… If all goes well I will be boarding Oasis of the Seas out of NJ 5/1 followed by Adventure of the Seas out of NJ 5/12. Not quite a back to back because there will be a 4 day break in between. 1

Rare BennyBrun Posted April 9, 2022 Author #408 Share Posted April 9, 2022 Day 6 Silent Disco Lewis the cruise director is absolutely amazing! The entertainment onboard the Edge is spectacular! I have never been to a silent disco that’s hosted like this. He turned it into a competition with APEX and did a live video with the other cruise director. So much fun! The drawback of reduced occupancy on cruises since the restart is the lack of energy during nightclub events. You need a certain amount of people to generate the energy for a successful nightclub experience.

My family & I will be there for a cruise stop in June for the first time. We’ve missed it twice - once due to Irma and once due to Covid. I’m trying to figure out something to do, and the excursions we would want are full through the ship (we’ll be on Mariner of the Seas). Did Presidential Tours do a good job? We used Bernard's Tours, booked as part of our roll call group. I did a brief search and came up with this: Bernard's Tours: Tours and Tickets - Tripadvisor

You can listen to your own music and dance to your own tunes with other dancers but still preserve “quiet” for other cruisers at Grand Plaza. It’s quite fun to watch people and also participate! On the APEX there were still lacking participants which is why we won 😆

Imoutahere Posted April 9, 2022 #422 Share Posted April 9, 2022 Benny, thanks for all the photos. We are on the same cruise but our experience has not been a duplicate of yours. We ate in a different MDR each night with anytime dining. Went to different excursions in the ports on of call. No FOMO here, as we got to see through your eyes too. Thanks for sharing your vacation.

Although I have to say it is very compartmentalized. You don’t get that relationship you get at M / S class ships. It’s a different experience and I feel like they are moving more towards Royal Caribbean with the E class ships and Royals newest Oasis Class is moving towards the E Class ship on Celebrity. Not sure that’s a good thing but when you are under one umbrella things are bound to merge a bit and I not a fan of this movement. The ship is phenomenal and the entertainment has been amazing (Oasis class variety and quality) the crew are cordial and pleasant but not like on the M / S class ships where they always want to do more for you without asking and that personal touch. We had a similar feeling on Edge. Loved the ship and had a great time, but something felt missing with crew interactions somehow. It was difficult to pin down but we have had better experiences with crew on other Celebrity ships, including Apex.
