jhigdon Posted April 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2022 Hi, It's been a good 10 years since I last cruised, and much has changed. I do not remember how/when you find out your disembarkment time for your last day. Can someone remind me how/when you find this out? T
crzndeb Posted April 17, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) Lots of things to consider. What time does ship dock, what time does it clear? It’s based on luggage tag numbers, or if you choose to carry off your own luggage. There is no set time. All the info will be given to you on the ship. Carrying off all your own luggage are usually one of the earliest to disembark. Edited April 17, 2022 by crzndeb
Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted April 17, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2022 In addition to what @crzndeb said, if you have indicated to the ship that you have a flight to catch that day, or whether you are a local passenger who will be driving home from the port, or whether you have signed up for an excursion post cruise - the ship takes all this into consideration when assigning disembark times.
Jingerwoppy Posted April 17, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2022 You'll find out a couple of nights before. Last week we were asked about our departure needs on the app and then a couple of nights before the end of the cruise they gave us the time, our luggage tags, and where we were supposed to stay until our time to depart. In January we stayed in our room until the departure time.

On Allure in Feb, we could wait in the room, in march the attendant chased us out. With more passengers, he need to more time to get the rooms ready. With customs being facial recognition, things are a lot faster, at least in the US.
jbrinkm Posted April 17, 2022 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2022 Just off Allure - people could stay in their rooms until 8am if you were one of the later groups disembarking. Windjammer and a few other options were open until 8:30am, so we got up, got ready, finished packing the items we still had in the room, and headed up for breakfast at 8am. They started putting the food away just after 8:30 but people were able to still finish up with what they had and hang out a bit longer. Our scheduled time to disembark was 8:30am-8:45am (flight not until 6pm) and we were heading to the elevators around 8:50am. They said to listen for your group to be called but I only heard announcements being made earlier in the morning and not after 8pm (but maybe I just didn't hear them...). As @Jingerwoppy said, we were asked to do a survey through the app about travel plans a day or two before the last day and then our room attendant left our tags with numbers and paperwork with schedule on our bed. The paperwork also told you where to wait if you weren't called yet and weren't still at breakfast.
