Ah, it’s all part of the subtle plan to return some ships to cruising from yesteryear..…one step at a time. What with the recent reintroduction of 2-hour long talks by WI stalwarts about the art of towel sculpting, the serving of ham in aspic in the MDRs and enforced shuffleboard with the previous night’s dinner table guests…..🤣

The library on Azura was 'open' last month but only for about 2 hours both in the a.m and p.m. Pando have dispensed with librarians and reception staff now man the desk on a rota basis.

 

The cases are locked and if you want a book you have to point it out to the 'librarian'. If you then find you've read it, it's not put back on the shelf but placed in a drop box for 48 hour sanitisation. I got through 7 on a 13 night cruise but it was a bit of a bind not being able to select and browse before choosing.
