We never really had an issue getting seats at any of those three bars in our three times on Mardi Gras. We ended up going to Fortune Teller more than the other two but Center Stage Bar is usually our go to bar at night, Red Frog Tiki during the day.

I would say our bar trifecta was the Red Frog Tiki Bar,  Center Stage Bar, and the Alchemy Bar. 😊

Hey gang! I won't be posting anything today as today is all about beer and baseball. Have a great day! 🍺🍺🍺

How would you rate Paradise Beach against Mr. Sancho's. We love Mr. Sancho's but have not tried other places.

I'm wondering the same. We went to Mr. Sancho's in December and last week and may do the same again later this year. Unless we can be convinced otherwise. 🙂

For us it would be either/ or. At Mr. Sancho's there seems to be more food options. There, you can order from your server, or serve yourself at the buffet. At Paradise Beach all food has to be ordered through your server. As for beer, I ordered a bottle of Dos Equis at Paradise Beach and got a quart bottle in an ice bucket. That was impressive! 😁 We always book ahead on line, so if either property is offering some kind of a deal, that's where we'll go. 😎

Hoping for a good Lightning game today!  Can count on beer either way.

They have to win today. As a Devils fan I can't stand the Rangers! Watching the game now and enjoying some rum and cokes! 🥃

‘94 and never more…

I don’t want Tampa to win again either, but the Rags winning is worst case scenario.

Have you tried Nachi Cocom? If so how would you compare to Mr. S & PB?

Yes we have, and we would rate it behind Mr. Sancho's and Paradise Beach. We thought that the food and service wasn't as good. Everyone will say that Nachi Cocum limits the amount of guests to around 130, but that's because they have too. Nachi Cocum is much smaller than the other two. 😎

It depends on what you're looking for. We've been to all three and if you want activity, crowds then Mr. Sanchos and PB are the perfect fit. If you want more laid back, relaxed and less crowded then Nachi Cocum is great.. We found the service, food and drink offerings to be more alike than different for sure.

My biggest issue with Mr Sanchos is that they push the all inclusive taking over the whole beach. Gets tooo crowded. At one time there was a separate section for all inclusives, limited occupancy, no kiddos running amok and a great pool bar.

We went to Mr. Sanchos a couple of years ago, and only planned on staying for an hour or two, so we didn’t choose the All-Inclusive.  When we arrived, a man asked if we had any food in my bag.  We answered honestly and said we had a small bag of pretzels.  He asked that we hand it over and put it in a drawer and said they would return it when we left.  While there, we each ordered a drink and a chicken sandwich.  The drinks came quickly, but the sandwich took about 45 minutes.  Yes, we got the bag of pretzels back, but only after insisting to the woman at the entrance that they were holding our pretzels hostage.

After spending a wonderful afternoon with Willdra and W at Paradise Beach, it was time to pack up and head back to the ship. Patti took these last three shots of the pool area…..

We said goodbye to Alberto and Damian, and tipped them well for a job well done. Around 4:30pm we got a cab to take us back to Puerta Maya. There was no waiting for a cab, as there were plenty of them there waiting to take people back…..

Fifteen minutes, and fifteen dollars later, we were back at Puerta Maya. I went directly back to the ship, but Patti stayed out for a little while taking pictures and browsing the shops…..

We decided to just go up to the Lido Marketplace for dinner. We both made salads and picked a couple of things from the buffet. We decided to go to the 8pm Family Feud show in the Mardi Gras Theater. We got there a half hour early and got good seats up front. There we met our Cruise Critic friends Bob and Ann (jedi bobs)…..

i-rj8NS2q-X2.jpg

Patti got some shots during the game until they asked us not to take pictures. They had announced at the beginning that videotaping was prohibited, but said nothing about picture taking. No problem, Patti put away the camera and we enjoyed the show…..

Afterwards, we stopped at the casino to pick up our free “Fun Play” chips. We were going to play but it was pretty crowded. This was a casino “Ultra” cruise, so the casino was always pretty busy. We decided to head back to the cabin where we found tonight’s towel creature. We had a great time at Paradise Beach today, and finally meeting Willdra and W was just icing on the cake!

That’s how most BBQ places on land serve your meal, on those metal plates (trays).

Makes me shiver. Gross. We have a lot of BBQ places here in the south and I've never seen that. Yuk! 😁

Seriously? How is a reusable clean metal tray any different than eating off of a clean reusable plate at a restaurant?
