Pool deck

Is it typical for Oceania to play music over speakers all day at the pool deck?

They do play canned music on the pool deck but usually unobtrusive  IME

My last two cruises the music has improved significantly. Mostly unobtrusive yacht rockish.

I fo not care for loud music on the pool decks but my experience on the Regatta recently was great. I actually liked the music and not at all too loud.

They do, they were playing 70's music on our cruise which nobody liked. After passengers complained, the music got much better.

They switched to more upbeat music mostly 80's and newer.

So nice to be on ships that do not have canned music at the pool (Viking, for one).  Disappointed to hear Oceania has this.  Was surprised at this given they are classified as a luxury line.

Oceania is considered an upper premium cruise line, not a luxury line.

Was on Riviera 12/13-23/21 and I cannot remember the pool music. At all. Didn't notice it or pay attention to it. A bit like the unobtrusive display screen that showed data. So I found it so unobtrusive that I was enjoying my time in the pool and around the pool, swimming, lounging, reading, etc. Nor did the Waves restaurant or bar bug me. Nor the outdoor smoking area. Etc. Found the pool area relaxing.

Too bad......they used to have the Boston  pops  and Manheim Steam Roller during the afternoon...live
