General On Board Credit

It's been many years since we have cruised Carnival. Our invoice for our upcoming cruise says we have general on board credit. What can that be used toward?

It can still be used for anything you can buy with your card. Tips, drinks, onboard shops you name it.

You have no choice what it’s used for.

Its just a credit that is posted to your account. As charges come across the account, those charges are debited from the credit until the credit zeros out. Then your account starts building up its total amount you owe at the end of the cruise.
