Suggestions hotels Tampa for upcoming cruises

There is a Marriott on Water Street that is walkable to the cruise port

We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express Ybor City East (on 50th street).   It's a very nice HIE and the front desk was very nice.  The area is nothing special so if you don't have a car it's probably better to stay downtown or by the airport.   They offer parking for $50 for up to 14 days.   Lot is well lit and plenty of space.  I think it was about a $15 Uber ride to the port but they did provide shuttle service if you paid for parking.

We like hotels in the Rocky Point area - nice views of the bay and several dining options. Check Chase Suites and others.

I would look to stay in the Downtown or Channelside area for convenience to the port, restaurants and attractions. Some of these hotels are a very quick free trolley ride to the port. Marriott Water Street, JW Marriott Water Street, Westin Harbor Island, Hyatt Place Downtown, Home 2 Suite Channelside, Hampton Inn Channelside.....these are just some I would recommend.
