Sorry to start a new topic but had no luck finding the very old one about Sun’s transfer from Viking to become a Chinese cruise ship.  Anyway, saw this today and thought some of you former WCers might like to see her.

Sounds like she may not have changed much. According to this article, she still features Nordic interiors and maybe the original restaurants, presumably with some tweaks?

I didn’t realize Viking was doing a joint venture with China on this.

Our first cruise was on the Viking Sun.  It was a Trans Atlantic, Lisbon to Miami.  After they dumped up, they were starting a world cruise (which is how this came on my radar).  That would have been Jan 2019.

We,are on Vikings Classic China and the Coast plus Hong Kong extension from.Sept 3 to Sept 21. Really looking forward to it but a bit apprehensive, too.
