Easy peasy,

Just ask your TA to request twin beds for you.  If no TA involved, just call Oceania and ask a Rep to note it in your reservation. If you have Pillow preferences or Down Comforter optio or other needs, especially dietary, just ask.

Enjoy your cruise,

Yep!  There are plenty of people sailing together who don't really want to sleep together!

With concierge booking, there is no problem.  People who are in a top suite (Oceania and above on the "O" and Vista ships) have king beds and my understanding is that these cannot be separated.

If, by chance, you arrive and find the duvet hasn't been made up according to your request, just talk with your steward about it.  We always say "it can wait until tomorrow" (knowing how busy they are on the first day).  We always find the standard set up of the duvet to be too hot.  Didn't know about the different sides of the mattress -- thanks for that tid bit!

On other O ships the mattress has a softer and a firmer side. Ask steward to flip it if you prefer alternate side.

First I've ever heard of this in 12 years on this board. Interesting, learn something new some days.

I was not aware of this either and we have shared a lot of Oceania beds, even in Suites. What surprises me is we have two Oceania beds in our home and the instructions don’t suggest flipping the mattress and the quilted topper suggests there is NO flipping option.
Anyone with Oceania mattresses heard about flipping them for a firm or soft side?

I don’t know about anything on the website but all you need to do is tell your TA or Oceania Specialist about your needs prior to sailing. If you get aboard and you need bedding changes of any kind, just ask your Room Steward or Butler and it will be done.
